late 18th century italian mirror Probably Tuscany Carved and gilded wood, the pediment adorned in the centre with an eagle with outstretched wings flanked by garlands of flowers au naturel and elongated sphinxes, the frame with a Greek motif and a double frieze of pearls, the spandrels adorned with sunflowers, two elongated sphinxes and a garland of rosettes adorned in the centre with an escutcheon monogrammed FG in the lower part; small accidents and restorations, the mirror removed.
