MOCHE GOLD HUMAN HEAD. Peru Ca. 100 BC - 100 AD. A gold human head with a rounded form and a slightly pointed chin. The facial features include almond-shaped eyes framed by a raised border with evenly spaced incisions, arched brows and a broad nose with well-defined nostrils. The mouth is narrow with a downturned expression. The ears project slightly. The hair is depicted as a series of vertical ridges running from the forehead to the back of the head.
