Signed and with a typographic title in the margin. – The corners are very slightly bumped; the edges on the reverse are slightly yellowed. Overall, very good condition. An excellent, colour-rich print of the full-format image. Large-format colour offset print relating to the project *The Umbrellas* by the artist couple Christo and Jeanne-Claude, which was realised simultaneously in 1991 in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, and in Kern County, California. The temporary installation comprised 1,760 yellow and 1,340 blue umbrellas, which were set up across vast landscapes and engaged the respective topographical features of the two locations in a transcontinental dialogue. ‘The Umbrellas’ is regarded as one of the most ambitious and elaborate projects in the oeuvre of Christo and Jeanne-Claude. Colour offset print on smooth wove paper. Signed and typographically titled in the margin. – The corners have very slight bumps; the reverse shows light toning to the margins. Overall in very good condition. A superb, vibrantly coloured print of the full-format composition. – A large-format colour offset print relating to ‘The Umbrellas’, the project by Christo and Jeanne-Claude realised simultaneously in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, and Kern County, California, in 1991. The temporary installation comprised 1,760 yellow and 1,340 blue umbrellas distributed across expansive landscapes, establishing a transcontinental dialogue between the distinct topographies of the two sites. ‘The Umbrellas’ is regarded as one of the most ambitious and resource-intensive projects in the oeuvre of Christo and Jeanne-Claude.
