The original artwork for the booklet edited and compiled by Stefan Wewerka, which is one of Rainer's most important publications on architecture. Rainer, who had maintained a studio in Berlin since the mid-1960s, was invited by O. M. Ungers to organise and publish his reflections on architecture in his series on the theory and practice of architecture published at the TU Berlin. In his expressively dense drawings and overpainted photographs of buildings, Rainer was not concerned with acts of destruction, but with a 'sculptural reworking of urban spaces and buildings'.
