A very rare work describing the ascents of Mont Emilius (3,559 m) in the Gran Paradiso massif. It was the canons of Aosta who suggested calling it Mont Pie, in honour of Pope Pius IX, a name that has not become popular, unlike Emilius , given in memory of Emilie Argentier, who was the first woman to climb it in 1839.
