MONTIGNY SUR LOING - Workshop of Eugène SCHOPIN :
Pair of earthenware lamps with impressionist decoration, painted in slip with anemones on a shaded green background. Beautiful bronze mount, electrified. Both are marked on the back with the initials MsL painted for Montigny sur Loing and 420 ES MsL in hollow, ES for Eugène Schopin, the number 420 corresponds to the shape, the painted B corresponds to the painter and numbered 501 and 502 (serial number).
Second half of the 19th century.
Height: 42 cm.
A sign of the taste for Japonism, these lamps come from the first ceramic factory in Montigny sur Loing (1872-1885) created by Eugène Schopin.
