Monumental bisque porcelain bust of Marie-Antoinette. Composed, large bust of the famous Marie-Antoinette, last queen of France, on a glazed, cobalt blue and gold contoured base. The head turned slightly to the right with an imposing, curly head of hair crowned with floral decorations. Dressed in a delicate, lace-edged strap top and an ermine-lined cape with "fleurs de lis" motifs. A portrait medallion with a profile portrait of her husband Louis XVI tied around her neck; after a bust by the French sculptor Felix Lecomte. Minimally dam.; manufacturer's mark. H. 77 cm.
