Monumental Meissen Art Déco vase with coral red toucan decoration
Ovoid body on a round base with a stepped, conically widening neck and flaring mouth rim. The front of the wall with a large depiction of a toucan sitting on a branch between large palm leaves and rising plants, surrounded by butterflies, beetles and gold stars. A bouquet of plants with a flying exotic bird and butterfly on the reverse. Foot and mouth with surrounding latticework border. Coral red camaieu painting accentuated in yellow, brown and a little blue. Gold contouring. Mould designed by Paul Börner, 1927. model no. L 202. year mark. Centreboard mark. H. 66 cm.
