Rectangular ivory plaque carved in relief, mounted in a partly gilt silver frame with a mirror on the back. Depiction of a partially draped, seated Diana with bow, arrow and quiver in a forest. Monogrammed PH. lower right. 10.5 × 6.5 cm. Ivory with two small cracks in the treetop top left and a small break in the tree trunk next to Diana's upper body. Silver frame partly oxidized, rubbed and with scratches. Mirror partly oxidized. Provenance: - Sotheby's, London, Old Master Sculpture auction, July 5, 2016, lot 86. - Collection Dr. E. Darstellung einer teils drapierten, sitzenden Diana mit Bogen, Pfeil und Köcher in Wald. Unten rechts monogrammiert PH. 10,5 × 6,5 cm. Elfenbein mit zwei kleinen Rissen in Baumkrone oben links sowie kleiner Ausbruch an Baumstamm neben Dianas Oberkörper. Silberrahmen teils oxidiert, berieben und mit Kratzern. Spiegel teils oxidiert.
