Plate with serrated edge and polychrome decoration, in the centre, of a yellow hot-air balloon in which is a man shooting with his rifle, attached to the basket on the left a shield with three fleurs-de-lis, on the right a yellow flag. The balloon flies over a village with a river. Fleurettes and rocailles on the rim, yellow fillet on the rim.

Last quarter of the 18th century.

Note: this plate evokes the experience of the first night flight on 18 June 1786 by Testu-Brissy, a similar model reproduced in "Balloons, Muller-Quênot collection", page 76.
