MURGER (Henry). Scenes from Bohemian Life. Paris, L. Carteret, 1913. Large in-8, olive morocco, listel in havana morocco set with ten gilt and two cold-stamped fillets, spine decorated in the same way, similar interior framing, linings and endpapers in multicoloured brocaded silk with floral motifs, gilt edges, cover and spine (Chambolle-Duru). A fine edition of Murger's masterpiece, which inspired Puccini to write his famous opera La Bohème. It is illustrated with 45 delicate watercolours by Alcide Robaudi reproduced in colour. Unique edition of 100 numbered copies on Marais vellum. A copy luxuriously bound by Chambolle-Duru.
