Complete collection of this famous illustrated magazine, published in 150 four-page issues, each adorned with a full-page caricature. The set includes 148 lithographs after Daumier, Gavarni, Bouchot, Adam, Pigal, Traviès and others, and 2 woodcuts after Grandville. This collection is "one of the rarest of the Romantic period, especially with the lithographs of good colour" (Carteret). An exceptional copy in which all the plates have been finely coloured and gummed, luxuriously bound by Adolphe Cuzin. It is complete with the title, title and table leaves of the three volumes and the publisher's catalogue is bound at the end of the first and third volumes. Hinges cracked in vol.
