Painting and writing on papyrus, signed and dated ‘97’ in the bottom right-hand corner, 42 x 35 cm. Note: Born in 1952 in Ahfir, Mustapha Boujemaoui trained at the School of Fine Arts in Tetouan (1969–1972), then in Brussels and Paris. Winner of the UNESCO Prize for the Promotion of the Arts in 1995, he has exhibited in around ten countries (Belgium, France, Spain, Egypt, Germany, Jordan, the United Kingdom…) and is represented in prestigious Moroccan collections, including those of the Ministry of Culture, the ONA Foundation and the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. He currently lives and works in Rabat.
