Mütze M1907 feldgrau of a military training company. Mütze in feldgrau cloth with infantry colours, headband and red piping. Some moth holes, mainly on the right half. Sewn cockades, the Reichscocarde with its felt, the Prussian Landkokarde without. Hand-sewn unbleached cloth lining, sewn onto the cap as required. Handwritten inscription to E. Benda of the 5 Jugendkompanie Hannover 189. The Jugendkompanies were associations for the military training of young men during the war, in this case the 5th Hannover Company. 189 is the number of the object or the young man's service number. Objects from the Jugendkompanies are not very common. M1907 Field-Grey Cap of a Military Preparation Company Field-grey cloth cap with infantry red piping and band. Some moth holes, mainly on the right side. Sewn cockades, national cockade with felt backing, Prussian cockade without. Natural cotton lining hand-stitched to the body as per regulation. Handwritten name "E. Benda, 5. Jugendkompanie Hannover 189." The Jugendkompanien were youth military-preparation associations, this example corresponds to the 5th Company of Hanover. Number "189" refers to the object or member's number. Rare item type.
