NAPOLEON I (1769-1821) Emperor of the French 1804-14, 1815. Letter signed NP to his adopted son Prince Eugène, and at the bottom of the letter To the Viceroy, Schonbrun (for Schoönbrunn), 28 June 1809, ½ page in-4°, gilt edges. "My son, it is very necessary that you reiterate the order that all the men without horses and the lame horses which you left in the small depots of cavalry on the side of ...la Carenthie....se rendent à Schonbrun where they will form part of the depot of cavalry which is established there under the orders of general Bron". It was at Schönbrunn that the Treaty of Vienna was signed a few months later.
