In-4° of [6]-76 leaves, antique hardback covered with a 17th century manuscript.
First and only edition of this "book of seven wonders" by the Viennese Friedrich Nausea, illustrating curious celestial and terrestrial phenomena such as bloody rains, earthquakes, prodigies, monsters, a Roman virgin with a fountain between her breasts, etc. The sixth part is entirely devoted to the appearance of Halley's comet in 1531.
The illustration includes 29 BEAUTIFUL WOODEN FIGURES in the style of Hans Sebald Beham. A few small stains, gnawing at bottom of spine. Ex-libris A. Denier (Caillet III, 7931) (USTC 658228).
