NECKLACE WITH AMULET CAPSULE - former Kofler-Truniger collection
Roman, 2nd–3rd century AD.
Gold chain with 13 cylindrical, iridescent glass beads and a hexagonal, rod-shaped gold amulet in the center.
Total length approx. 37 cm, gold sleeve L 2.7 cm.
Some links have probably been partially replaced. Gold amulet partially bent and dented.
Provenance:
- Collection of Ernst and Marthe Kofler-Truniger (1903–1990 & 1918–1999), Lucerne before 1964 (inv. no. K729H).
- Swiss private collection, Lucerne, acquired from the above in ca. 1974.
- By inheritance in the same Swiss family collection, Lucerne.
