NÉMIROVSKY (Irène). David Golder. Paris, Grasset, 1929. Small in-4, violet morocco, decoration composed of a large gilt circle framed by a circular set of gilt dotted lines and 2 circles of red listels, below is a set of semi-circular fillets bordered by a mosaic cream morocco listel, the motif rising to a point to the middle of the spine, smooth spine, gilt leather lining and endpapers, gilt edges on witnesses, folder and slipcase (Paul Bonet). First edition. One of the 6 first copies reprinted in in-4 format on Japon nacré (No. 3). Superb original binding by Paul Bonet, accompanied by a signed autograph text which provides the following information: the model was drawn up in January 1934 by Bonet for this copy of David Golder belonging to Raoul Simonson. It was exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs in 1934. From the library of Raoul Simonson (1896-1965) bookseller, bibliographer and publisher in Brussels.
