NEOCLASSICAL BRONZE HEAD-SHAPED OINOCHOE WITH SCRIPT CA. 1900 AD OR EARLIER . A bronze flask in the form of a youthful male head. The vessel is cast with finely modelled facial features, almond-shaped eyes with defined lids, full lips, and a rounded chin. The hair is rendered in long, wavy locks swept back and encircled by a fillet with a central medallion, continuing in vertical strands over the back of the head. The cylindrical spout rises from the crown and includes two perforated lugs for suspension. The base of the neck and the back of the head are inscribed with a sequence of large, incised letters.
