NEOCLASSICAL GOLD PENDANT WITH TRIPLE-HEADED CAMEO.
Ca. AD 1800 A gold swivel pendant with an oviform mount surmounted by an arched openwork crest of scrolling tendrils and pellets below a suspension loop. The front is set within a beaded border with an oval hardstone cameo carved in white on a dark ground with a triple male head, two in profile back-to-back and a third rising above on the crown. Size: 42mm x 24mm; Weight: 13g. Provenance: Private London collection of an established Mayfair dealer and scholar with over 40 years of experience; previously part of 1970s-1990s UK collection. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
