NEVERS, late 18th century. A polychrome earthenware bowl with a contoured rim, glazed with a "batellerie" decoration of a Loire bridge animated with a lantern, boatmen, a marine carpenter on a mound surmounted by the inscription "Jacqué Bourigault (sic)" dated 1797. H. 9 cm D. 31.5 cm Two chips along the edge, one restored crack (staples), small chips in the decoration, notably on the bridge.
