NEVERS. Lot including a sponge cup with manganese base, labelled on the front "W Les patriotes. 1794", a base plate showing two arms wearing a Phrygian cap, below a flaming grenade marked on either side "VV la libertés 1790" and a very small Moulin earthenware plate showing a man holding a flag marked "Vive la Nation 1790". (Cup and base of plate restored). Last quarter of the 18th century. Height 8 cm; Diameter: 14 cm; 9 cm. Provenance : - Pierre-Marie Sestié Collection. The tile was part of the Saint-Nectaire 1789 exhibition, "Un roi, Une reine, Une révolution", number 257 and Champfleury label. The cup was sold at Auxerre on 20/10/01.
