NEVERS. Rare revolutionary plate with contoured rim and polychrome decoration, in the centre, of a tent surrounded by two small sentry boxes evoking the Fête de la Fédération. Hemmed braid around the edge and green fillet. (Chipped edge.) Last quarter of the 18th century. Diameter: 23 cm. Note: one can imagine that these are the tents that had been erected opposite the royal tribune, on the other side of the Champ de Mars. Provenance : - Pierre-Marie Sestié Collection.
