Ironwood "Hampatong" statue used in rice fields, in the forest, along a river, to promote a good harvest, fishing or for sacrifices/offerings offered to the goddess Jata and the Santiang to promote fertility. The weathered wood is stained dark grey and brown by lichen. Height: 41 cm. Width: 10cm. Provenance: Collected in situ in 1976 by Jacques Cortecero.
