Nuremberg plate with wheel throwing peacock Faience, paste blue glaze. Cobalt blue hot-fire decoration. A stylised peacock in a landscape in the centre, surrounded by a fourfold repeating radial decoration of cartouches with fruit baskets and birds, crowned by vases and framed by blossoms and lilac leaves. Leaf and dot decoration on the underside. One fine hairline crack. Blue whip mark. D. 35.6 cm.
