ODIOT silversmith in Paris Very large silver menagère (800‰) , model with rich chased decoration of garlands and foliage, engraved with coats of arms, comprising: - Thirty-six large forks - Eighteen large spoons - Thirty large knives (stainless steel blade signed Odiot, probably replaced later by the company), - Twenty-four small dessert knives (twelve with silver blades, the rest with stainless steel blades, probably replaced later by the firm) - Seventeen dessert forks - Nineteen dessert spoons - Twelve teaspoons - One small place setting - One sugar tong - Two ladles - A fine sprinkling spoon embossed with scrolls Minerva, Master-Smith ODIOT, 19th century Presented in a wooden case with a plaque bearing the coat of arms, signed "Odiot orfèvre à Paris", in four shaped cases lined with red velvet. Total gross weight: 13 kg 790 g The coat of arms engraved on this menagère is probably that of the Pelletier de Chambure family, however there is an inversion in the enamel of the field which here appears Vert and not Azure.
