OENOCHOE Terracotta and ochre paint H. 18 cm Luristan (?), 9th-7th century BC Provenance European private collection, acquired from R. Deutsch, Archaeological Center, in the 2000s Ovoid oenochoe with globular body in beige-ochre terracotta, with geometric decoration of horizontal bands painted dark brown. The narrow neck is prolonged by a remarkable vertical handle with braided or twisted decoration, characteristic of Luristan production from this period. A Near Eastern terracotta Oinochoe with painted bands decoration. Probably. Lurista,, 9th-7th century BCE. Oenochoe of ovoid form with globular body in beige-ochre terracotta, featuring geometric decoration of horizontal bands painted in dark brown.
