Musical offering, France, circa 1890. Beautiful and rare folded fan, the leaf in very fine needle lace composed of three scenes. On the left, in the shade of a tree with shaded foliage, a staircase overlooks a river bordered by a water mill. To the right, a wader against a landscape background. In the centre, in the style of sacrifices to Priape, two children play music in front of a statue. Several motifs are shaded. Mounted entirely in blond tortoiseshell.
