Gustave Loiseau (French, 1865-1935) Gustave Loiseau is a French Post-Impressionist painter known for capturing environmental sensations in landscapes and the streets of Paris. Formally trained at the École des arts décoratifs, he was inspired by the artist Fernand Guignon, with whom he shared a studio in Paris. During his travels through Brittany, he experimented with Pointillism and en plein air style of rendering landscapes. In 1893, he debuted at the Salon des Indépendants, continuing to exhibit at the Salon de la Societe Nationale and several Impressionist exhibitions.
