Titled on verso. - Overall very good. Grüß-Wigand (ed.), C-1966/41 - The draughtsman, collagist and painter Albert Wigand studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Düsseldorf until 1913. In 1916 he showed his works for the first time in Rethel, France. After the First World War, Wigand lived in Berlin, where he met Christian Rohlfs and Curt Hermann, among others. From 1925, he worked in Dresden, developing an avant-garde formal language and at the same time producing landscape paintings, which enabled him to earn a secure income in economically difficult times. After 1945, his work became increasingly abstract and he turned more and more to collage. Our work from 1966 is a characteristic example of his late creative phase. Buko. Collage with printed paper, tin foil and opaque colours. Mounted in spots on wove paper. Titled on verso. - Overall very good. 600
