Hauptmann. Iphigenia in Delphi". Mounted freestanding in passepartout in dots. - Verso with rubbing (presumably as traces of previous mounting). Overall in very good, colour-fresh condition. Iphigenia at Delphi is a verse drama in three acts by Gerhart Hauptmann, which was first performed in 1941. As a stage designer, César Klein himself was part of the production of "Iphigenia in Aulis", a verse drama in five acts by Gerhart Hauptmann, which was presented to the public for the first time on 15 November 1943 at the Vienna Burgtheater. The present work presumably served as a draft for Klein's stage design and shows a monumental-looking antique architecture. Iphigenia in Delphi (stage design for G. Hauptmann).
