Javacheff) Christ Wrapped Venus, Project for Villa Borghese, Rome, from: Graphikmappe Schweizerischer Kunstverein. 1974. lithograph and collaged colour lithograph on wove paper. 50.7 x 37 cm (61 x 45.8 cm). Signed and numbered. - Barely visible yellowing in outer margins, tls. Some corners minimally bumped, verso slightly irregular and barely visibly yellowed, overall very good. Quite excellent impression with wide margins. Schellmann/Benecke 74 - Printed by Landfall Press, Chicago, with their copyright and blindstamp recto as well as copyright address stamp and the handwritten number "CJ74501" verso. - From the portfolio "Graphikmappe Schweizerischer Kunstverein". - Ed. by the same, St. Gallen 1975 - In 1963 Christo wrapped the Venus in the park of the Villa Borghese without official authorisation. It remains there for 4 months without anyone noticing. It is assumed that it was wrapped by the park authorities for conservation reasons. Lithograph and collaged colour lithograph on wove paper. Signed and numbered. - Hardly yellowed in outer margins, corner partly minimally bumped, slightly irregularly and hardly visible yellowed on the verso, all in all very good. Very excellent impression with wide margin. - Print by Landfall Press, Chicago (with copyright and blindstamp on the recto as well as copyrightstamp and pencil annotation on the verso). - From the portfolio "Graphikmappe Schweizerischer Kunstverein". Publ. by Schweizerischer Kunstverein, St. Gallen 1975. - Christo wraps the Venus in the park of Villa Borghese in 1963 without official authorisation.
