(text) The 1st volume (pp.322-691). has no general title; it opens with an important Discourse on the nature of birds. Volume 2 (pp. 1-712) contains the alphabetical sequence. Its second part contains "Les animaux quadrupèdes ovipares et les serpents". The 2nd volume contains the 240 plates and the 7 double plates (complete). Bindings heavily rubbed with epidermis and corners dulled, internally fresh except for minor foxing.
