Elegant lyre-shaped pendulum clock, made of mahogany and contrasting gilded friezes. Supported on a plinth base, the lyre-shaped case stands gracefully illuminated by rich gilt friezes. Above the stringing, a pediment centred on the face of the 'Roi Soleil'; gilded metal dial, decorated with guilloché soleil motifs, Roman numerals for the hours, signed Guiton a Paris, burnished metal Lepine hands, movement with anchor escapement, silk-wire suspension, light butterfly pendulum, hour and half-hour striking mechanism with part-wheel system.
