Excerpt-like composed view of a sunlit, idyllic country house. An early Impressionist landscape painted by the artist in 1910 with a virtuoso, loose style. Pippel studied in Karlsruhe and Dresden under Gotthard Kuehl, among others. Based mainly in Planegg near Munich from 1909, he made his debut in 1911 at the Munich Glaspalast, where he exhibited regularly and frequently from then on. In the same year, he became a member of the Luitpold Group artists' association.
