The slightly recessed mirror with a gold-framed medallion depicting boys piggybacking and dancing in a spring-like, partly architectural landscape. Fine, polychrome painting. In the picture partly painter's monogr. "LG" in ligature, probably for Etienne-Charles Le Guay. On the banner, on a grey and yellow ground, stylised ornamental border of palmettes and flowers and acanthus leaf motifs in grisaille. Inscribed manufacturer's mark. D. 24.5 cm.
