Pair of hand candlesticks with "disguised cupids". 1-light; gilded bronze mounting. Ornamented base supported by four bud feet, centred by a porcelain figure of a cupid as a cavalier and a miner, surrounded by clusters of flowers. Polychrome painting. Figure designed by Johann Joachim Kaendler. Leaf-shaped handle on the reverse and ascending, widely branching tendrils with colourfully painted Vincennes blossoms ending in a spout in relief with a leaf wreath. 2 spout inserts.
