PAIR OF CHESTS OF DRAWERS "A FLEURS" Louis XV style, Paris, circa 1860, both stamped Sormani Paris, one additionally signed on plaque Paul Sormani - 10 rue Charlot Paris (Paul Sormani, 1817-1877). Violet wood and "bois de bout" inlaid on all sides with flowers and leaves, the front with a heart-shaped central medallion with fan marquetry. Curved and cambered, trapezoidal body with protruding front corner pieces on a wavy cut-out frame with curved legs. In the centre a bulging front with two drawers without crosspiece. Gilt bronze mounts and sabots. Profiled 'Brèche d'Alep' marble top. 1 key. 141 × 55 × 90 cm. Good restored condition, few signs of use. One with the lock removed.
