Pair of Louis XV écoignures with chinoiserie decoration counterparts. Black lacquer base with partly raised chinoiserie in relief in gold lacquer. Cambered, single-door body, flanked by wide pilaster strips on a matching curved frame and curved legs. Full-surface depiction of various landscapes with figural staffage, bordered by bands of flowers. Slightly protruding top plate of beige and various shades of red, so-called Breche d' Alep marble, rest; h. 76 cm. Leg d. 40.5 cm. Provenance: Dissolution of an important German private collection - part II. A pair of French lacquered Louis XV style corner cabinets with chinoiseries. Tops restored. France. 19th century.
