A pair of magnificent Meissen potpourri vases with landscape and merchant scenes
Supported by high paw feet with winged lion heads in relief, the ovoid body has a fluted, open-worked neck and a slightly domed lid with a bud finial. Surrounded by gallant couples in an expansive landscape and a harbour scene with sailing boats in a busy sea with Mediterranean palace architecture. Fine polychrome painting with gold decoration. Model no. K 112, rest of lid; crossed swords mark. H. 17.5 cm.
