Pair of heavy ceremonial girandoles in rococo style. Silver. 5-light; Almost round stand over four flared feet, curved and domed at the rim, surrounded by relief decoration of C-sweeps, rocailles, acanthus leaves and flowers. Narrow shaft in the shape of a putto, holding a cornucopia. Growing out of this is the screw-on top with a short shaft rising from the centre and four candlestick arms extending from it, decorated with acanthus leaves in relief. Vase-shaped spouts with engraved leaf decoration above a straight, curved eaves bowl. Marked 800, hallmark with maker's mark and number "81". Total weight approx. 5190 g. H. 43.5 cm.
