Pair of rare Meissen teacups with miner's decoration and saucers. The hemispherically domed body with ear handles above the round stand. On the front of the wall and in the centre are large depictions of various scenes from the working lives of Saxon miners. Below, in a tree-lined rocky landscape, miners receiving instruction or engaged in woodwork and a woman with a child. Flowers in the base of the cup. Fine polychrome painting, probably by Gottlieb Bonaventura Häuer. Gold lace border. Gold painter's letter "S". Minimally worn; crossed swords mark. Cup h. 4.5 cm. Saucer d. 12 cm. Cf.
