PABLO PICASSO (1881–1973) DOVE ON A BED OF STRAW A.R. 79 A plate in engobed and glazed earthenware, with a design partially engraved with a knife, standing out against a black background. The reverse is glazed in beige with the handwritten inscription “1175 Madoura d’Après Picasso”, preceded by a monogram. The “Madoura Plein feu” stamp is embossed. The design was created in 1949. This work is part of an edition of 300 pieces. Length 39 cm – Width 32 cm A white earthenware ceramic plate, partially engraved, with coloured engobe and glaze. Stamped. 15 1/4 x 12 5/8 in.
