Pablo Picasso (1881 Málaga - 1973 Mougins) Artist's plate "Petit visage no. 65" (Small face no. 65). Original title Ceramic. Round, flat, slightly s-shaped curved form with a recessed mirror. Light white body, decorated in pink, orange-red, bright blue and black engobe painting (or glaze painting) on the unglazed body and in or under the glaze. Designed by Pablo Picasso in 1963, produced in an edition of 150 pieces in the Madoura pottery workshop, Suzanne and Georges Ramié, Vallauris. Marked and numbered "N° 65 EDITION PICASSO 93/150" on the bottom. Wvz. Alain Ramié 471. D. 25.2 cm. Provenance: North German private collection. Partially glazed white earthenware ceramic plate with coloured engobe decor. Conceived by Picasso in 1963 and executed by the Madoura Pottery worksskop in Vallauris in an edition of 150.
