PAIR OF EGYPTIAN BRONZE AND STONE INLAID EYES.
Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC
A pair of inlaid eyes composed of bronze almond-shaped frames, each set with a cream stone sclera and a reddish stone iris. The bronze lids taper to pointed outer corners with extended cosmetic lines. Each eye is accompanied by a separate, arched bronze strip forming the brow.
Size: 145-175mm x 10-40mm; Weight: 330g.
Provenance: Private UK collection; acquired in Switzerland; formerly with W.R. , late 1980s to early 1990s.
