PAIR OF EGYPTIAN FAIENCE BES AMULETS Ca. 332 BC - AD 100. A pair of glazed faience amulets representing the protective deity Bes. Both amulets portray the god in a squat stance with bent legs and arms positioned on the knees. The face with a prominent grimace, a furrowed brow, and a beard.
