PAIR OF EGYPTIAN FAIENCE ROSETTE INLAYS
New Kingdom, Ca. 1279 - 1152 BC
A pair of glazed composition rosette inlays, one with an eight-petalled white flower set against a brown background featuring a yellow central boss. The other in the form of a flat disc with a central rosette displaying eight cream-coloured petals. These are set against a diamond-shaped beige background. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
