PAIR OF EGYPTIAN FAIENCE WEDJAT AMULETS. Third Intermediate Period, Ca. 1069 - 664 BC. A pair of faience wedjat eye amulets, including: an amulet in bright turquoise glaze with dark-painted detailing, the almond eye beneath a raised brow with a long horizontal cosmetic line projecting behind, the reverse flat; and an amulet moulded on two sides with a striated eyebrow, a cosmetic line running to the outer canthus and a vertical drop formed by parallel ribs below the eye, the cheek corner finished with a voluted marking, the reverse flat.
