PAIR OF EGYPTIAN FIGURINES. New Kingdom to Late Period, Ca. 1550 - 322 BC. A pair of faience figural elements, including, from left to right: a vivid blue fragment with a relief of a standing deity preserved at the midsection, holding a was-sceptre in both hands; and a small figurine head with a broad, horizontally ribbed headdress, almond-shaped eyes, a straight nose and small lips, the face oval with softly modelled cheeks. Size: 38-40mm x 35-35mm; Weight: 26g Provenance: Property of a London gallery; previously in a collection of a North London gentleman; formerly in a collection of Mrs B. Ellison, a deceased former member of the Egyptian Exploration Fund, bought from the 1940s, Cairo and London.
