PAIR OF EGYPTIAN SCARABS 18th Dynasty, Ca. 1450 - 1300 BC A pair of scarabs crafted from faience, each featuring a drilled hole. The first is made of dark green faience, inscribed with the prenomen of Thutmose III and symbols representing “the good god” on its base, dating to the 18th Dynasty (ca. 1450 - 1300 BC). The second scarab is made of light blue faience, inscribed with the hieroglyphs “Ankhes-en-Amun,” likely a defective rendering of Tutankhamun’s queen Ankhesenamun, and dates to the Later 18th Dynasty (ca. 1350 - 1300 BC).
